In 2016 the Canadian government passed the Medical Assistance in Dying law or MAiD, more than 31,000 people have died using the assisted suicide method since then. In 2021 Canada’s Parliament passed an amendment that allowed patients with non-reasonably foreseeable natural deaths to participate in the MAiD program.
Quebec and British Columbia have consistently led the nation on the percentage of assisted suicides to total deaths and have seen the most significant growth between 2019 and 2021. More than 3% of the total deaths in Canada came from assisted suicides in the same period.
The growth of participants in the MAiD program is alarming in itself. However, what’s more, in the Spring of 2023, the Liberal Canadian Government is planning to review the MAiD law and make it more accessible to “mature minors.”
The advocacy group, Dying With Dignity Canada, are pushing lawmakers to define a “mature minor” as any child 12 years or older, which would allow them to participate in MAiD while also having a non-reasonably foreseeable natural death, all without parental consent.
DWDC agrees that the existing eligibility requirement that the person have a grievous and irremediable medical condition should apply to mature minors.
DWDC acknowledges that Canadian society will likely expect a minimum age for mature minors in the legislation, even though the emphasis at common law is on capacity and maturity and not chronological age. For this reason, DWDC asks that Parliament amend the existing age requirement of 18 years of age to extend it to persons: “at least 12 years of age and capable of making decisions with respect to their health.” As with adults, there should be a presumption of capacity for these minors.
Liberal governments worldwide follow every trait of a death cult that hates humanity. First, they make abortions legal and continue to try and extend the time to receive an abortion legally (lowers population). Then they convince adults with gender dysphoria to mutilate themselves which leaves them sterile, and now they are doing it to children (lowers population). And finally, they convince young people and even children that they are a burden on the environment and society while holding their hand, leading them to the table where they will be injected with two medications and die in less than five minutes. After the “procedure,” the parents will get a phone call letting them know the compassionate liberal government has successfully helped their child die and that their body can be picked up.
